Wizard Fight are a stoner/doom/sludge band originating from Hastings, England. Active since 2012 and drawing from whatever influences them at the time thhis band incorporates a sludge nucleus with hints of doom and stoner overtones.[1]

The band's name stems from the Weedeater song of the same name.

HistoryEdit

Wizard Fight formed in 2012 by Luke Bolton (ROTS) and former Steak drummer, Dan Kinsey. They set out as a two piece to play insanely sludgey filth with a good measure of Doom and a wee bit of hazy Stoner groove. Early 2013 see the addition of Dave Sage on bass adding the much needed earth shaking guts to aid the Wizard Fight sound. Their first show was on 7 June 2013 at the Tubman alongside XII Boar and Enos.[2] From there the band would keep playing shows, sharing the stage with the likes of The Gates of Slumber, Acid King and Witchsorrow among others. In that time the group would also release a demo in The Beast Lives.

Eventually the band would self-release their first album Nocturnal Verses the next year, followed by a string of shows and festival appearances over the next couple years. 2016 saw a change up in the line up, when Dave Sage left the band and was replaced by former Enos bass groove master Mt Bungle aka George.
