V is the fifth studio album by the California doom metal band Saint Vitus, with the "V" in the title in reference to the Roman numeral and not the letter as implied. Notably it's the first Saint Vitus release on German label Hellhound Records after their departure from SST.

It would also be notably the last studio album to feature Wino until 2012's Lillie: F-65 as following the band's 1990 European Tour alongside Cathedral and Count Raven, Wino would choose to leave the group to re-form The Obsessed once Hellhound released their eponymous debut and opted to sign the band to release a new album (1991's Lunar Womb.). Christian Linderson (Count Raven) would take over the vocal role following Wino's departure.

On 27 July 2004[1] would re-issue V on Vinyl and CD, the latter featuring a live video as a bonus. This bonus video would be Wino's first live performance with the band, taking place at The Palm Springs Community Center on 16 May 1986 (With Across The River). The footage was recorded by Larry Lalli (Fatso Jetson) and provided by Scott Reeder (Across The River, Kyuss, The Obsessed, etc.). The Southern Lord vinyl was limited to 1099 copies (769 Black, 330 Blue).[2]
