Tummler was a stoner rock/heavy rock band originating from Champaign, Illinois. Active between 1999 and 2008 the band was a product of the 90s stoner rock era, having albums on Man's Ruin Records and Small Stone Records while appearing at key festivals of the American stoner rock scene such as Stoner Hands of Doom and The Man's Ruin Showcase. The band's sound heavily derived from 60s and 70s rock.
In their tenure the band managed to release two studio albums.
History[]
Tummler began sometime in 1999, starting off with a demo released in September and gigging around Illinois and surrounding states. From there the band would quickly be signed to Man's Ruin Records, who would release their debut album Queen To Bishop VI the next October. Man's Ruin would close in 2001, leaving the band to release their second album Early Man via Small Stone Records on 12 November 2002.
Throughout the remainder of the band's existence the band would share the stage with a host of bands within the stoner scene such as Unida, High on Fire, Goatsnake, Nebula, Throttlerod, Five Horse Johnson, Dixie Witch, Yob, Devil to Pay, Keelhaul, Clutch, Cuda, Alabama Thunderpussy and Suplecs just to name a few.
