Stampede is the debut album by Lexington doom metal band Stampede. It was self-released in August 2011 with a tour to follow the next year. To date it's their only studio release and the only one to feature the original lineup.
Throughout 2010 and early 2011, Stampede had performed live throughout the Lexington area, composing new songs along the way. On April 19 & 20, 2011 the band recorded the five tracks that would compose the album. Mixing for the record would be finished by June.
The album was self-released by the band, officially arriving in their hands by late July and August. A release party for the album would happen on October 22, 2011 at The Green Lantern with Onward Pilgrim and Sonic Altar as support. A tour would follow in July of 2012 in support of the album.
