Långfinger are a heavy rock/stoner rock power trio from Gothenburg. Formed in 2008 in their early teens this trio deliver concise, high energy rock. To date the trio have released three studio albums and regularly performed in Sweden, eventually touring in 2017 to support their third album "Crossyears".

History[]

Långfinger would form in 2008 by a trio of friends in Victor Crusner, Kalle Lilja and Jesper Pihl, drawing from the likes of classic rock such as The Who, Grand Funk Railroad and Mountain among others. The band's first show would take place on 15 March 2008 at Mölnlycke Kulturhus in Mölnlycke with several shows in Gothenburg. The band would be a regular in the Sweden scene and by the next year play their first show outside of it (27 June 2009 at Schwedisches Sommerfest in Berlin.). Work would begin on their debut album, recorded and produced by Esben Willems (Monolord), along with a guest spot by Monolord guitarist Thomas B. Jäger. Skygrounds would be released on 5 June 2010 with a release party on the same day at Café Hängmattan in Gothenburg.

Gaining buzz and performing more frequent shows Långfinger would be quick to compose a follow-up, teasing with the Stare Me Blind EP on 11 November 2011. Recording at Svenska Grammofon Studion with producer Simon Sigfridsson, Slow Rivers on 12 February 2012. The band would play more frequently in Sweden along with the occasional visit to other countries and sharing the stage with the likes of Tweak Bird, Nomads, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Graviators and Truckfighters just to name a few.

In 2015 Långfinger would sign to Small Stone Records and begin work on a third album, recording at Welfare Sounds with producers Olle Björk and Johan Reivén. Crossyears would see release on 30 September 2016 to the most critical acclaim to date from the likes of Maximum Volume Music,[1] Metal Temple[2]and Sea of Tranquility[3] among many others. To support the third album Långfinger would compose their first full European tours in the Spring and Fall, closing out the cycle with a string of shows in Spain in 2018.
