Huata (stylized as Hua†a) were a french band from Rennes, Brittany, formed in 2006. They play a truly haunting and spell-binding blend of stoner / sludge / doom / drone metal music mixed with amazing occult psychedelic rock.[1] The band would release two albums in their tenure, disbanding after the release of their second album Lux Initiatrix Terrae in November 2018.
The band was notable for being adorned in cloaks and evoking heavy themes of esotericism, satanism and the occult. Huata managed to share live stages with a wide range of bands in their tenure such as Electric Wizard, Cough, Jucifer, Acid Mothers Temple, Ramesses, Monarch and many more.
