Gévaudan are a four-piece doom metal band form in Hertfordshire, England in 2013.

History Edit

Gévaudan are a doom metal band based in Hertfordshire, England.[1] The four-piece band formed through 2013 with a desire to write heavy original music.[1] The bands routes lay in Bruce Hamilton (guitar) and Andy Salt (bass), who worked on the early material from Bruce’s catalogue of riffs.[1] David Himbury (drums) joined shortly after to finalise the instrumental section of the band.[1] Adam Pirmohamed (vocals) completed the line-up, bringing a modern vocal interpretation to the more traditional aspects of doom and a story telling approach to each song.[1]

Gévaudan - Message For The Damned-1

...a cut above most bands operating in this genre
— Rich Maw, The Sludgelord[2]
Wow…Gèvaudan were bloody brilliant – absolutely blistering riffs that tore The Unicorn apart. This is really heavy stuff that I could not get enough of. …. This is definitely a young band to keep an eye on.
— Johnny Zed, Metalmouth[3]
...their music takes on even more visceral qualities here. The four piece quite simply gel magnificently. There’s impressive twists and turns, with everything from

huge grooves to spoken word passages and these long, involved doomy epics – taking in everything from Sabbath onwards and infusing things with a rare modernity – mark the Herts mob out as special.

— Andy Thorley, Maximum Volume Music[4]
