History[]

In spring 2013 Timestone was founded by Walt (Drums) and "Chewie" Jakob Aigner (Guitars and Vocals) in Linz/Austria. Later on, Felix Dinter (Bass) joined the band. They released their first self titled EP in February 2014. Their earliest known live performance took place on 8 May 2014 alongside Minus Green.[1] The band would perform several gigs through 2014, sharing the stage with the likes of Ufomammut, Spirit Caravan, Dopelord, Major Kong, The Grand Astoria, Les Lekin and Parasol Caravan among others.[2] Timestone would also play day two of the Lake on Fire Festival.[3] In 2015 Timestone would only play a handful of gigs, notably as direct support for John Garcia that July.[4]

After taking some time off the band would begin playing again in the Spring of 2016 alongside new drummer Thomas Berger. Following a string of shows throughout 2016 and 2017 and following a February tour with Swanmay, work would begin on a debut album. Timestone's first album Unspoken seeing release on 23 November 2018. Timestone would tour Europe with Naxatras in support of Unspoken. 2019 would largely see the band performing in Austria with notable exceptions being a Germany gig supporting Nightstalker and an appearance at Blackdoor Music Festival.[5]

A second album was planned but no posts have come from the band since 2020.
