Doom Shall Rise was a festival held largely in Göppingen, Germany (excluding the inaugural edition) consecutively from 2003 to 2007, with three sporadic editions to follow. Hosting a wide range of doom metal acts, the festival was largely hosted at The Chapel, a former U.S. Army church in Göppingen, Germany.

The inaugural Doom Shall Rise took place on 7 and 8 February 2003 in Crailshelm, Germany. Notably it would be the only version not to be held at the The Chapel, once overwhelming response opted the curators to re-locate the next year and onward.

2004[]

The second edition of Doom Shall Rise would take place on 2 and 3 April 2004. Notably it would be the first edition to take place at The Chapel in Göppingen, where every following edition of the festival would take place.[1][2]

2005[]

The third edition of Doom Shall Rise would be held at The Chapel in Göppingen on 15 and 16 April 2005.[3][4]

2006[]

The 2006 edition of Doom Shall Rise would take place at The Chapel in Göppingen on 31 March and 1 April 2006, notably the first time the festival would be hosted on a day in March. Low Man's Tune were intended to perform on the first day but canceled.[5][6]

The eighth and final edition of Doom Shall Rise would be hosted on 26 and 27 April 2013 at The Chapel, mainly to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the inaugural fest. However on 1 April 2013 it would be announced on the Doom Shall Rise page that the 2013 edition would be the last.
