|Also known as||Osmium Beachball|
|Current members|| Alexander Kolby|
The band was formed in September 2013 at the release party of Danish sludge metal act Helhorse by Yannick Kristensen (bass, backing vocals) and Nicolai Lomholt (drums). They started jamming and were soon accompanied by Alexander Kolby (guitar, lead vocals), after which, they started to write riffs. A year after cementing their lineup, the band played their first gig, under the temporary name of Osmium Beachball, at an open stage night at the Stengade venue in Copenhagen. Dirt Forge recorded their first release, the extended play Ratcatchers, in March 2015 at Wolf Rider Studios, Copenhagen, Denmark. Ratchatchers is due to release autumn 2015.
In its short period of existence, Dirt Forge has played a number of gigs. Among others, the band played one set on a truck outside a birthday party/concert at freezing temperatures and also supported American sludge metal band Crowbar on their Denmark show of their "Summer of Doom" European tour in August 2015.

|“||...there is no escaping the efficiency of frontman Alexander Kolby's weed-reeking guitar riffs, the surprisingly textured drumming of Nicolai Lomholt, nor the rumbling grooves of bassist Yannick Bünger Kristensen, who much to my amusement, has trimmed his instrument down to just three strings - all that's needed, apparently.||”|
