At Devil Dirt is a Chilean stoner/doom duo hailing from the Santiago area. The band was notably active and extremely productive from 2010 - 2016, releasing three albums and three EPs in their tenure while attaining buzz in the stoner scene. The band would return in 2020 with a new single. The band also notably sings in both their native Chilean Spanish and in English.
History[]
At Devil Dirt formed sometime in 2010 by the duo of Ayala and Alvarado. The band's earliest known show was on 16 October 2010.[1] A following show was on 10 February 2011 as a pre-release for their eponymous debut, released officially on 11 March 2011.[2] The duo would largely play shows in the Chile area with the likes of Yajaira, Demonauta[3] and Hielo Negro[4] among others. Quickly writing more material, At Devil Dirt followed up on Chapter II "Vulgo gratissimus auctor" on 31 August 2012 via Corvus Disco and a self-released digital EP entitled In Atacama's Landscape on Halloween that year.
Not one to slow down and gaining notoriety outside of their native country through various stoner sites, the band kept writing. 2013 would see them self-releasing (((Sunshine))) on 30 May 2013. Their third album Plan B: Sin revolución no hay evolución on 30 October 2013 via TuneLess (With a vinyl edition the next year). Along with South American festivals and other shows the band composed even more music into 2014. An EP entitled Dinner Is Ready saw release on 20 February 2014 while a single for the song 5 Estrellas saw release on 15 May. On 5 July 2016 the band would release another single in Help Us!. However, plans for a fourth album were short-lived with the band's equipment being stolen in 2015. Eventually this would lead to the band taking a hiatus, with their final show to date on 5 November 2016.[5]
In 2020 At Devil Dirt would re-surface with a new logo and a new single in We Are Mapuches.[6]
